See five life-size 3D sculptures that bring Beryl Cook's iconic paintings to life in the very locations that inspired them! The sculptures have been created in partnership with Theatre Royal Plymouth. Find out more about the characters and locations below. - A cheerful shopper from The Market (1978) is by the Frankfort Gate entrance to Plymouth Market on Frankfort Gate.
- The figure of Brian Pearce (aka drag performer Ruby Venezuela) from Tom Dancing (1976) is near the former Lockyer Tavern (next to the entrance to the garden of the Bank pub in the city centre).
- A bowls player mid-game from Sabotage (1975) is positioned near The Hoe Public Bowling Green.
- A couple tucking into fish and chips from Hips and Chips is on the benches situated on the waterfront, close to 'The Coffee Shack' in front of the 'Belvedere'.
- A jolly sailor from Sailors and Seagulls (c.1970) on the bench outside The Dolphin pub on Southside Street, The Barbican.
