Join us for the event of the summer as 'Hello Sailor' splashes into Tinside Lido. This joyful celebration of art, what it means to us, bodies and how much we can do with them will feature local strong people, synchronised swimmers and live music. Take a dip in the pool before you go if you wish - and witness a surprise appearance from an 'unclothed' Plymouth icon. All will be revealed on the day!
This event is part of The Triumph of Art, a nationwide project by artist Jeremy Deller, commissioned by the National Gallery, London, as part of NG200, its Bicentenary celebrations. The Triumph of Art is being developed in partnership with Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, Mostyn in Llandudno, The Box Plymouth and The Playhouse in Derry-Londonderry.
