Tasting Event: Christmas Movies Served

Following previously sold-out tasting events, this special evening features a six-course menu inspired by some of the most iconic and most-loved Christmas films ever made. From the playful nostalgia of Elf and Home Alone, through the darker worlds of Die Hard and The Nightmare Before Christmas, to the warmth and generosity of The Muppet Christmas Carol, each course brings a different story to the table through flavour, colour and craft.

Rather than recreating food seen on screen, each dish has been carefully researched and developed to capture something recognisable about its film, whether a memorable moment, a character, a visual theme or the feeling it evokes at Christmas.

The experience extends beyond the menu. Throughout the evening, local community choir Blokes Who Sing will perform songs connected to the films, adding another layer of storytelling and filling The Box with the sound of Christmas.

Expect creative cooking, familiar flavours presented in unexpected ways, live music, plenty of nostalgia and a few surprises along the way.

Blokes Who Sing is an award-winning and inclusive male voice choir based in Plymouth, bringing together men of all ages and abilities through a shared love of singing. Founded in 2020, the choir performs an eclectic mix of folk, contemporary music, musical theatre, swing and popular classics, while championing the benefits of singing for wellbeing, friendship and community.
