Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City, is the gateway to the South West. We are connected to the rest of Devon, Cornwall, London, the Midlands and the North by mainline rail link, and more locally by branch line trains and buses. The Box is located near Plymouth’s city centre and is easy to travel to.

By Foot

The Box is a five-minute walk from Drake Circus shopping mall and Plymouth city centre.

By Cycle

We encourage cycling and there are there are 10 public cycle stands which can be found on Tavistock Place and North Hill. Please bring your lock.

There is an e-bike parking bay that can dock 10 e-bikes on Tavistock Place. These are available to hire when you download the Beryl app. You can view the locations of other parking bays across Plymouth on the Connect Plymouth website.

By Bus

Plymouth is well served by buses with nearly all parts of the city linked directly to Royal Parade, which is approximately a 10-minute walk to our site. Some bus routes also stop on North Hill opposite The Box. Here's some useful information to help you plan your bus journey.

By Park & Ride

Plymouth has a number of Park & Ride services available that provide a quick and direct service to Royal Parade, which is a 10-minute walk to The Box. Find out more about Park & Ride services.

By Train

Plymouth is easy to visit by train and the railway station is just a 15-minute walk from The Box. To plan your journey by train, visit the GWR website.

By Coach

The Box is a 10-minute walk from Plymouth Coach Station. For journey planning by coach visit the National Express website.

By Car

There are a number of car parks close to The Box, including the Regent Street car park (the nearest long stay car park) and Drake Circus car park. For more details on the individual car parks and locations please visit the carparks page.

Disabled parking is available in car parks across the city centre. There are also some spaces on Tavistock Place (accessed via Gibbon Lane), close to our main entrance. There are disabled drop-off points at the bottom of Tavistock Place.
Electric chargepoints are available across the city including the nearby Regent Street car park. For more information please visit the Plymouth City Council website.

By Ferry

There are local and international ferries that service Plymouth, with links to Mount Batten, Torpoint, Cremyll and overseas.
