We hope this information about accessing Elizabethan House helps you make the most of your visit.

Disabled access

Due to the historic nature of Elizabethan House we regret there is limited disabled access. The house is over 400 years old with a narrow spiral staircase, low door frames and ceilings and some uneven and sloping floors. The nature of the guided tour you'll be taken on requires standing for periods of time with limited seating available in some of the rooms. If you have any access queries please get in touch with us before you book so we can help advise you.

Due to the age of Elizabethan House and the length of the audio-visual experience, visits are most suitable for children aged 8+. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Toilet facilities are available at Elizabethan House. There are additional public conveniences nearby on Southside Street. We regret that food and drink are not allowed in Elizabethan House.
