Plymouth Preview Terms and Conditions

In these conditions the following definitions shall apply:

“Event” - means Plymouth Preview.
“Officials” - any Event officials appointed by Plymouth City Council from time to time. “Organiser” - means Plymouth City Council. “Site” – means area accessed during the Event after entry. “Ticket-holder(s)” - refers to both applicants and their guests whose name appears on the ticket.

Tickets to Plymouth Preview will be issued by Plymouth City Council and are subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. The use of the ticket is agreement by the Ticket-holder to abide by these Terms and Conditions, the Ballot Rules, any other terms and conditions displayed at the Event or stipulated by the Organiser from time to time and any instructions given by the Organiser and Officials at the Event.

  2. All guests must have a valid ticket and be accompanied by the associated applicant on entry. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult on entry and at the Site.

  3. Tickets cannot be used by anyone other than the person whose name appears on it. All Ticket-holders will be asked to bring two separate forms of identification; either a passport or photo driving licence for photographic ID and their Council tax bill for proof of address.

  4. Original tickets should be retained at all times during the Event and must be shown to the Organiser or Officials on request.

  5. Any person who leaves the Site during the Event on Saturday 2 May 2020 or Sunday 3 May 2020 will not be permitted to re-enter the Site under any circumstances.

  6. Tickets may not be sold, traded, transferred or offered for sale and may not be used as a prize or for any other promotional or trade purpose by anyone except the Organiser.

  7. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to the Event at its absolute discretion, and any person who fails to comply with instructions from an Official or other person acting on behalf of the Organiser may be refused entry or removed from the Event.

  8. Anyone found (in the opinion of the Organiser, or person acting on its behalf) to be causing or threatening to cause any damage to any part of the Site, the Site infrastructure, causing or threatening to cause any harm to any other person at the Site or in the near vicinity, or of behaving in an illegal, anti-social or aggressive manner, or appearing to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol or in breach of these conditions will be removed from the Site or the immediate vicinity and may be reported to the police.

  9. The Organiser reserves the right to search any person and personal property and refuse admission to, or remove from the Site, any person who refuses to be searched by an Official or the police or other person acting on their behalf.

  10. Other than as may be required by the Organiser for the purposes of staging the Event, the following articles are not permitted at the Event –flags, advertising or marketing messages, chairs, knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, glass vessels, cans, poles, and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety. This list represents a non-exhaustive list of the types of articles which are not permitted and the Organiser retains a discretionary right to refuse entry to, or remove any person found to be carrying any of these items.

  11. No food, alcohol or soft drinks are permitted to be taken into the Event. One small plastic bottle of water per person may be brought.

  12. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

  13. No animals will be permitted, other than assistance dogs, guide dogs or hearing dogs for disabled Ticket-holders.

  14. The Event will be televised and photographed by the media and used by those media agencies in television broadcasts, newspapers and on-line publications. The Box will also be using these images and other footage and photographs taken at the event on our website, social media sites, such as Facebook and Twitter and in brochures and newsletters. Please note websites, on-line publications and social media sites can be viewed across the world, including via internet streaming. Footage and images may also be displayed on screens and displays at The Box. Footage and images may be used at the time of the event and in the future as required for promotional/marketing purposes. If you wish to object to your image being used by The Box please notify reception at The Box when you arrive at the event or email [email protected] after the event. If you have any concerns about images published by the media, you should contact the relevant media outlet.

  15. Any audio, visual or audio-visual recordings that Ticket-holders make of the Event of any part of it are for personal use only and must not be used for any commercial purpose.

  16. The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense (including any damage to personal property). Under no circumstances will the Organiser be liable for unforeseen or indirect loss of any form.

  17. Under no circumstances will the Organiser be liable for any incident occurring while travelling to or from the Event or for lateness caused by delays to transport or caused by any other means.

  18. The Organiser reserves the right to postpone, change or cancel the Event at any stage, if deemed necessary at any time for any reason if circumstances arise outside their control. They also reserve the right to alter or change any aspect of the Event without prior notification. Should the Event be postponed, cancelled or the times altered, the Organiser will not be liable for the payment of any compensation or for any loss of money and/or expenses incurred.

  19. Each Ticket-holder acknowledges that these terms and conditions of entry, together with any terms and conditions incorporated into the Ballot Rules found on the website www.theboxplymouth.gov.uk and any other terms and conditions as may be stipulated by the Organiser from time to time represent the entire agreement between themselves and the Organiser with respect to the Event.

  20. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England.
