Britain After 1945

Britain After 1945

How did Britain and Plymouth change after the end of World War II? Students will explore and debate themes around identity, community and social responsibility in relation to life in Plymouth since 1945.

In this session students use The Box’s original objects, film and archives to investigate key questions about the city of Plymouth and its people. Discovering the evolution of Plymouth as a multicultural community, students will research contrasting interpretations of the past, understanding how events after 1945 shaped the city they know today.
