DesignLab Nation 2024 Callout

Are you a designer, creator or artist who can inspire the next generation? Join us and help lead the V&A's inspiring 'DesignLab Nation' project.
We are looking for an innovative designer/artist/maker who can take the lead on an exciting design project with secondary school students and teachers based in the Plymouth area between November 2023 and July 2024.
DesignLab Nation is a national school’s programme led by the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), London that aims to equip young people with the necessary skills for the workplaces of the future.
Our chosen lead designer will work with staff at The Box and local industry partners to design, develop and facilitate a project with three Plymouth-based secondary schools based on the theme of 'Plymouth - City for the Future'.

This is our third and final year of ‘DesignLab Nation’ and we're looking forward to working with an innovative lead designer who can think of new and exciting ways to utilise the collections both here in Plymouth at The Box and in London at the V&A. This year's challenge will focus on green cities and sustainable materials, with the lead designer helping us to inspire students to envision a city of the future.
