Super Saturday: Life Writing Workshop: Your Story Matters
01 Nov 2025 - 01 Nov 2025
Explore your personal history, memories, and experiences through creative writing. Using guided exercises, prompts and discussion, Dr. Rosemarie Corlett will help you tap into your unique voice and craft stories that resonate. Find out more below.
To develop our own creative responses, we will connect and interact with Jyll Bradley’s exhibition Life and Influences in Active Archives. This display explores how Bradley’s childhood experiences have influenced her identity and practice.
Ideal for both beginners and seasoned writers, this workshop offers a supportive environment to reflect, write, and connect with others through the art of storytelling. You story matters – let’s write it together. Sharing during the session is encouraged, but no one is put on the spot to read their work if they don’t want to – the listening is just as valuable as the sharing.
Please bring a digital or print family photograph that holds some meaning for you – we will use this as a prompt.
Dr Rosemarie Corlett is a bilingual author and associate lecturer in English and Creative Writing. A former Plymouth Laureate of Words, she has a PhD in poetry, and her work has been published in Iota, Poetry Wales, Lighthouse Literary Journal and The Guardian.
This event is delivered in partnership with Literature Works.
