Women’s Craft Collective

Women’s Craft Collective

A group for women of all ages and cultures who meet every Friday to share and learn traditional crafts.

The Women’s Craft Collective was set up in partnership with the Plymouth and District Racial Equality Council for women of all ages and backgrounds to come together to share and learn traditional crafts.

The group now attracts over 40 regular members who practise knitting and crochet amongst other craft activities. Whether you are an advanced knitter or a keen novice you can be sure of a warm welcome.

The group undertakes regular projects for a variety of local charities and hosts a ‘Big Knit’ event each year which is open to anyone and usually involves local school children too.

The group meet in the Simmons Learning Room every Friday morning from 10am-12pm. There is a voluntary membership fee of £1.50 per week.

We are currently restricting numbers and operating a waiting list. Please get in touch if you'd like to be added to this.
