Did you come along to our Easter holiday 'Family Fun: Bloom and Grow' sessions? Everyone was given sunflower seeds to take home and grow and we'd like to find out how well these have been growing! We're running a competition for the tallest sunflower. Find out how to enter below.
Family Fun: Bloom and Grow
Join us for a fantastic arts and crafts activity this Easter. We’ll be taking inspiration from Jyll Bradley’s beautiful artwork 'The Hop' and the way it responds to light and ideas about growing. Come and create designs for your very own biodegradable plant pots and seed packets which you can then take away with you. We’ll give you some giant sunflower seeds to plant at home (along with some dehydrated compost). Keep us posted on the progress of your flowers over the summer. The three tallest sunflowers will win a prize!
Family Fun: From Plymouth to Polynesia
Be inspired by our immersive 'Journeys with Mai' exhibition this Easter and join us for our fun drop-in sessions. During the first week of the holiday we'll be creating portraits of the most important people in our lives and making cloth bookmarks covered in patterns that connect to our favourite stories. During the second week we'll be joined by Life on the Edge to celebrate our amazing local coastline by making a ‘meadow of wildflowers’ from craft materials as well as creating our own Polynesian flowers.
