Community Event: Restory Yourself - A Kitchen Table Workshop
24 Jan 2026 - 21 Feb 2026
An intimate storytelling workshop exploring the power of myth and fairy tales. This intimate three-part workshop will see no more than eight people come together to explore how ancient stories can illuminate our contemporary lives. In this cosy, supportive setting, we'll discover the transformative power of narrative and learn to ‘restory’ ourselves. Find out more below.

IMPORTANT: This workshop takes place over three Saturday mornings from 10.30am-12.30pm on 24 January, 7 and 21 February. These are NOT separate drop in sessions but form part of a whole. Please check that you can make all three sessions. There will some small tasks to complete in between.
Using the rich symbolism of traditional folk tales we'll explore universal themes that echo through our own experiences. Together, we'll discover how the joyous and challenging parts of our lives can become sources of creativity. You'll learn to play with different endings, explore alternative choices, and ask "What would I do if I were the character in this story?"
The final session concludes with participants sharing what they've created - a celebration of the new stories we've discovered about ourselves.
Who Should Join?
This workshop is for anyone curious about how fairytales and myths can help us see the bigger picture of human experience. You don't need any previous experience with storytelling or creative writing - just bring your curiosity and willingness to explore your own imagination.
Why Kitchen Tables?
There's something magical about gathering around a kitchen table - it's where families share their days, where friends solve the world's problems, where real conversations happen. Our Kitchen Table workshops honor this tradition, creating a space where stories can be shared safely and authentically.
Ready to restory yourself? Join us at the kitchen table where your story adventure awaits.
