Tour and Workshop for the Deaf Community: Grayson Perry's Tapestries
09 Jan 2026 - 09 Jan 2026
Come and enjoy a one-hour gallery talk about 'The Vanity of Small Differences' - a series of six acclaimed tapestries created by Grayson Perry that explore the British fascination with taste and class through the fictional life story of a character named Tim Rakewell. Then take part in an activism and stitch workshop led by Muscogee Creek artist Melinda Schwakhofer where you can make your very own pocket of dissent, just like the suffragettes did! Suitable for total beginners. Both the tour and workshop will be supported by British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation provided by Shirley Elks.
